After a rebrand, CMC commissioned me to put together a suite of work manuals as pictured (front covers shown). The A4 workbooks consists of 1x 60pp, 1x 56pp, 1x 36pp, 2x 28pp’s and a 1 x 24pp. After weeks of work and changes to approval a nice weight of stock was chosen for a 5 colour / 2 colour litho print run finished with matt laminated covers.
Pictured are designs for Virgin Media and Virgin Mobile. Artwork was straight forward and the final product were some 6 foot x 1.5 foot double sided prints, mounted onto 5mm foamcore with matt lamination. Each sign was hung from the ceiling over office floorspace in their relevant departments.
Evans Halshaw originally asked me for a print price only for their existing black and white thank you cards. As artwork was unavailable and in need of creation I recommended this new design which creates a good impression to clients and brings the Evans Halshaw company image up to date with other print items.
Artwork was initially supplied by the client for a digital print run but unfortunately the artwork was part finished and not print ready. After a short discussion all supplied artwork was reset by copying and pasting from supplied Word and Powerpoint files and the new setup was colour matched throughout and a new logo was designed. After approval all artwork was planned for a digital print run and a matt laminated finish made the final print look extra special.
This job was assigned with a very quick turnaround for a last minute decision to drive to the Nurburgring in Germany for a few laps. All graphics are vinyl cut and some parts printed direct to white vinyl and trimmed to suit. The finished design enabled future additions and changes.
In what originally came in as a budget print job from a supplied Word file, I offered to spend some of my own time to tidy up the artwork and create a basic logo with graphics I had on file from previous work. The result is the logo as pictured and the final job was litho printed as an A5 1 colour black, single sided flyer for local distribution.
A very large percentage of my own work leads to print and for this I always quote on the most economic method taking into account each jobs suitability for either litho or digital print. I always quote the most cost effective way to produce without compromise.
To be able to offer both litho and digital print services I work closely with professional people who I have built a good working relationship with over many years and by working with more than one supplier I have greater flexibility to compare and quote which enables me to source the most competitive price.
All litho work is mostly printed on Heidelberg presses ranging in size from a SRA3 to B1, ensuring that a greater flexibility and a wider choice of print demands are met.
Digital printing is ideal for short run full colour print items and is only cost effective to a certain quantity before traditional litho is considered. New generation inks ensures accurate colour reproduction better than ever.

This A5 single sided full colour flyer was designed from supplied text in Word and a jpg logo from a web designer which I recreated in Illustrator. On approval they were digitally printed and artwork archived for future use.
Working directly with Fat Loaf for THS I based the artwork and design on a previous A5 4 page leaflet and organised a very small photoshoot. During my meetings on this project I was well looked after and got a few free coffees and a lovely steak sandwich – Thanks Tina!!
This was an advert for an industry magazine and was created by simple layout and text with a bit of photoshop work. The main image was purchased online and edited to look like the logo is part of the picture.
